  • A meeting for recommendations for the landscape & ecosystem services restoration strategy held in Planning & Development Department, Govt. of Sindh with the World Bank mission headed by Christopher Warner, Senior Environmental Consultant.
  • Conservator of Forests Shaheed Benazirabad, Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Memon visited Dalipota forest on 8th January 2024 and inspected the plantation work carried oput under NDRMF Project. He appreciated plantation and it’s maintenance.
  • Conservator of forests, Afforestation Circle Shaheed Benazirabad, Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Memon visited Thatt Jagir Forest on 4/01/24 .Issued directions to broadcast seeds on blank areas and application of silvicultural operations to enhance growth and vitality of plantation .
  • Mr Zulfiqar Ali Memon, Conservator of Forests, Afforestation Circle, Shaheed Benazirabad visited Khori, Nian and Sirnawari-I Forests of Afforestation Division Sanghar @ Khipro on 01/01/2024.
  • Additional Secretary F&WL Deptt, Mr. Abdul Jabar Qazi, visited Kundah Forest to observe plantation over retrieved forest land of Kundah Forest. He showed great satisfication over planting work and its subsiquent maintenance by DFO Sbabad.
  • Encroachment Vacation Drive under the orders of Sindh High Court continues by all Divisional Forest Officers of Afforestation Divisions throughout Sindh.
  • Secretary Forest & Wildlife Deptt. Govt of Sindh, Mr Najam Ahmed Shah visited various interventions of Sindh Forest Department at Miani Forest.
  • Delta Blue Carbon organized a high-powered panel discussion in Pakistan’s Pavilion at COP28 UAE with international stakeholders including the Sindh Forest Department with the support of the Ministry of Climate Change.

    Conservator of Forests Shaheed Benazirabad visits Afforestation Division Sanghar
    Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Memon, CF (A) Circle SBA paid visit of Khipro (A) Division on 11-01-2024. He distributed uniforms amongst Forest Guards. And, he also visited Wadhal, Khakhro & Morhadi Forests. Moreover he inspected recently planted areas in Khakhro forest and newly established forest landhis in Wadhal, Khakhro & Morhadi forests.

    Award Distribution Ceremony
    A shield distribution ceremony was held at Miani Forest Lodge. Chief Conservator of Sindh, Riaz Ahmed Wagan chaired the event and distributed shields for Best Performance in Anti-encroachment Drive in Sindh among officers & officials of various forest divisions for their participation and role in Encroachment Vacation Drive of Afforestation Division Matiari.
