The Spring Tree Plantation 2026 event was held at the University of Mirpurkhas on March 4, 2026, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to environmental sustainability. The ceremony was led by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Rafique Ahmed Memon, alongside Zulfiqar Ali Memon Chief Conservator of Forests, and Registrar Pir Suhail Sarhandi. Faculty members, Divisional Forest Officer Social Forestry Mirpurkhas and the forest staff from Mirpurkhas District, university staff, and students actively participated by planting saplings across the campus.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Conservator appreciated the University’s continued efforts to organize plantation drives during both the monsoon and spring seasons. He emphasized that in the face of global warming, climate change, and other environmental challenges, tree plantation is not just an activity but a national responsibility.

The campaign highlighted that expanding green cover through the collective efforts of academia, institutions, and the wider community is essential to ensuring a healthier and more sustainable future for generations to come.
