On 2nd September 2026, Allah Dino Khan alias Meer Babal Khan Bhayo, Honourable Advisor to the Chief Minister Sindh for the Forest & Wildlife Department, inaugurated various development works completed at the Miani Irrigated Plantation and Forest Premises, Auto Bhan Road, Hyderabad, under the Adaptive Restoration and Conservation of Ecosystems in Sindh (ARECS) Project.

On 2nd September 2026, Allah Dino Khan alias Meer Babal Khan Bhayo, Honourable Advisor to the Chief Minister Sindh for the Forest & Wildlife Department, inaugurated various development works completed at the Miani Irrigated Plantation and Forest Premises, Auto Bhan Road, Hyderabad, under the Adaptive Restoration and Conservation of Ecosystems in Sindh (ARECS) Project.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Chief Conservators of Forests Mr. Riaz Ahmed Wagan, Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Memon, Mr. Agha Tahir Hussain, along with Conservators of Forests, Divisional Forest Officers (DFOs), and other senior officers of the Forest & Wildlife Department.

During the visit, Mr. Saeed Ahmed Pirani, Project Director of the ARECS Project, briefed the Honourable Advisor on the key interventions and development initiatives undertaken under the project. The briefing highlighted efforts aimed at strengthening sustainable forest management, enhancing institutional capacity, and improving ecological restoration across Sindh.

The Honourable Advisor also visited the Forest & Wildlife Training School, Miani, the Carbon Management Centre, and the recreational facility being developed at the Miani Forest Reservoir/Island. He reviewed the progress of these initiatives and appreciated the department's efforts in promoting environmental conservation, capacity building, carbon management, and eco-tourism within the province.

The visit reaffirmed the Government of Sindh's commitment to sustainable forest development, environmental protection, and the conservation of the province's natural resources through the successful implementation of the ARECS Project.
