STPC 2026 In continuation of the Spring Tree Plantation Campaign 2026, Social Forestry Division-II, Karachi conducted plantation drives at Korangi Industrial Area Road near Brooks Chowrangi and at the greenbelt adjacent to the Drigh Road Railway Line near Natha Khan Flyover from 28 Feb to 3rd March.

Today Dated 3rd March, 2026, a plantation activity was conducted at Korangi Industrial Area Road near Brooks Chowrangi, graced by the presence and active participation of the Deputy Commissioner Korangi, Mr. Masood Bhutto. The initiative highlighted the strong coordination between Social Forestry Division-II and the District Administration Korangi in advancing efforts toward a greener and cleaner Karachi.

Similarly, a ceremonial plantation drive was organized at the greenbelt adjacent to the Drigh Road Railway Line near Natha Khan Flyover Dated: 28th Feb 2026, with the active participation of the Assistant Commissioner, Shah Faisal Town. On this occasion, fifty (50) saplings were planted, reinforcing the shared commitment to promoting urban forestry, strengthening ecological resilience, and enhancing Karachi’s capacity to mitigate the adverse impacts of climate change.

During the events, participants emphasized the importance of increasing urban green cover to combat climate change, reduce environmental pollution, and improve air quality in densely populated areas. The plantation activities aimed not only at beautification but also at strengthening ecological balance and promoting community awareness regarding sustainable environmental practices. These activities demonstrate the continued dedication of Social Forestry Division-II, Karachi, to expanding green cover and fostering environmental responsibility across the metropolis.
